उत्पाद विवरण
The rotameter operation is based on Variable Area Principle. Fluid flow raises a float in a tapered tube, increasing the area of passage of the fluid. The greater the flow rate, the higher the float is raised. The level of the float is directly proportional to the flow rate. The float reaches the stable position in the tube when the upward force entered by the flowing liquid equals to the downward gravitational force entered by the weight of float. Aster provides a full range of rotameters for your applications.

Precision Flow Measurement for Critical ApplicationsTC Mount Rotameters provide high-accuracy analog flow measurement without the need for electrical power, making them ideal for process industries where reliability and hygiene are paramount. With repeatability of 0.5% and 2% full scale accuracy, these devices offer direct visibility of flow rates for water and air, serving the stringent needs of pharmaceutical, food, and biotech sectors.
Engineered for Durability and SafetyConstructed from SS304/SS316 and fitted with a borosilicate glass tube, this rotameter is compatible with aggressive or high-purity media. Weatherproof construction and PTFE or silicon gaskets ensure safe, leak-free operation in both indoor and outdoor environments, even under high pressure, temperature, and humidity.
Versatile Connection and Easy MaintenanceFeaturing Tri-Clover (TC) or flanged end connections, the TC Mount Rotameter allows for quick installation and removal, facilitating cleaning and reducing downtime. Its inline vertical mounting design supports straightforward integration into existing pipelines, making it especially suitable for industries requiring frequent equipment cleaning or sterilization.
FAQ's of TC Mount Rotameter:
Q: How does the TC Mount Rotameter measure flow accurately without electrical power?
A: The TC Mount Rotameter utilizes a mechanical float and tapered tube based on the variable area flow measurement principle. Flow causes the float to rise, and the position aligns with a calibrated scale for direct analog reading-no external power or electronics are needed for operation.
Q: What types of applications and industries are best suited for the TC Mount Rotameter?
A: This rotameter is ideal for pharmaceutical, food & beverage, chemical, biotech, and dairy industries, particularly where sanitary conditions and precise flow measurement of liquids or gases are required, and in processes demanding mechanical reliability.
Q: When should I select TC Clamp over flanged connections for installation?
A: TC Clamp connections are typically chosen for hygienic applications-such as food or pharmaceutical processing-due to their ease of assembly, disassembly, and cleaning. Flanged connections are preferable in setups prioritizing robust mechanical strength and permanent installation.
Q: Where can the TC Mount Rotameter be installed within a pipeline system?
A: The device is designed for inline vertical mounting, suitable for integration at any point in the process line where accurate flow measurement and easy maintenance access are necessary, such as dosing, batching, or transfer sections.
Q: What process media can the TC Mount Rotameter handle, and what are its operating limits?
A: It accommodates a wide variety of liquids and gases with viscosities up to 100 cP, temperatures up to 150C, pressures up to 10 kg/cm2, and humidity up to 90%. Media compatibility is assured by borosilicate glass tubes and SS304/SS316 construction.
Q: How do I benefit from the direct reading scale and material selection?
A: Direct reading analog scales offer immediate visual access to flow rates, eliminating the need for complex electronics or power. Use of stainless steel and high-grade sealing materials ensures long-term durability and chemical compatibility.
Q: What is the process for calibrating or maintaining the TC Mount Rotameter?
A: The rotameter is factory-calibrated to model specifications and typically requires minimal maintenance. Routine checks should focus on cleaning the tube and float, and inspecting seals, especially in applications with high particulate matter or frequent cleaning cycles.
